Kevin Durant ruled out vs. 76ers on Saturday

There’s no messing around this time, Brooklyn will be without its star play on Saturday in Philadelphia.

As was the case with their last meeting with the 76ers, the Brooklyn Nets will be without Kevin Durant due to health and safety protocols in their meeting with Philadelphia on Saturday.

Durant’s absence on Saturday comes on the heels of the fiasco on Friday, when he was pulled from the Nets’ starting lineup last-minute due to health and safety protocols, then cleared to play as the game was underway, only to be removed from the game and ruled out for the remainder of the contest due to health and safety protocols.

In addition to their star forward, the Nets are without Kyrie Irving (finger), Nic Claxton (right knee tendinopathy) and Spencer Dinwiddie (ACL surgery) are the unavailable Nets players on Saturday. For Philly, Joel Embiid (knee) and Seth Curry (illness) are questionable to play, while Ben Simmons (calf) is listed as probable.
