Kevin Durant remains unavailable for Nets; Kyrie Irving probable vs. Lakers

The Brooklyn Nets will only have to face one of the Los Angeles Lakers’ stars with the other currently sidelined.

James Harden will only get one of his fellow Brooklyn stars back on Thursday — at best — in the Nets’ game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Kyrie Irving, who missed Tuesday’s wild win over the Phoenix Suns due to lower back tightness, has been upgraded to probable for Thursday.

However, the Nets remain without Kevin Durant. This will be the forward’s third consecutive absence due to a left hamstring strain. But, he’s not the only superstar who will miss the big game. Lakers big man Anthony Davis is dealing with a calf strain and is unavailable for Los Angeles.

The Nets could also be down Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot. The wing questionable due to right knee soreness. Iman Shumpert (left hamstring strain), Nicolas Claxton (right knee) and Spencer Dinwiddie (right knee) all remain sidelined for Brooklyn, as well.
