Along with helping build a dynastic run that included four championships and nine playoff appearances during his tenure with the Golden State Warriors, Bob Myers’ impact extended beyond wins and losses. Following his departure as President of Basketball Operations and general manager, multiple players reacted to the news on social media, including a former member of the Warriors.
After Myers announced he was stepping down from his role with the Warriors, Kevin Durant took to Instagram to share a photo of himself alongside Myers with the NBA Finals trophy and NBA Finals MVP trophy following their championship in 2018.

After his contract came to an end with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Myers played a role in recruiting Durant to the Bay Area. During his time with Myers and the Warriors, Durant won a pair of championships to go along with back-to-back NBA Finals Most Valuable Player awards.
During his final press conference with the Warriors, Myers mentioned Durant called him from Monaco after news surfaced of him stepping down in Golden State.
