Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit and everything — including the 2019-20 NBA season, of course — Kevin Durant was getting in work with his Brooklyn teammates as he worked back toward his return.
When video of the Nets superstar playing in 3-on-3’s surfaced, it appeared Durant was set to return soon. Then he shut down any chance of him playing in 2019-20 — both pre-hiatus and mid-hiatus.
But in those videos, it looked like Durant was close to getting back to his old self.
During an interview on Barstool’s “The Corp,” Durant told hosts Alex Rodriguez and Big Cat that his “Achilles is healed,” adding:
No pain when I’m moving around or anything like that.
Since the pandemic hit, Durant has been seen playing pickup with Spencer Dinwiddie and others. Though, the Brooklyn star told “The Corp” hosts he had a tough time getting 10 players for 5-on-5 for some time throughout the nationwide shutdown.
