Kevin Durant named All-Star Game captain; Kyrie Irving East starter

The Brooklyn Nets will be well-represented in this year’s NBA All-Star Game.

Two members of Brooklyn’s big three will start in the 2021 NBA All-Star Game, which is set to take place on March 7 in Atlanta. Kevin Durant was the leading vote-getter in the Eastern Conference and will be one of the game’s two captains as a result. Kyrie Irving was also named an Eastern Conference starter for this year’s All-Star Game. James Harden finished third in the Eastern Conference guard voting, with Washington’s Bradley Beal leading the group and Irving right behind the Wizards guard.

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo have also been named Eastern Conference starters.

LeBron James will be the other captain in this year’s NBA All-Star Game. Warriors guard Steph Curry, Mavericks guard Luka Doncic, Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard and Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic have also been named Western Conference All-Star starters.
