The Brooklyn Nets have a new member of the Big Three, and while Ben Simmons doesn’t have the league MVP pedigree of outgoing superstar James Harden, the young guard did impress Kevin Durant upon entering the league.
Back in his Warriors days in 2017, Durant was asked about the then-Sixers rookie after Simmons had a near-triple-double with 23 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds against Golden State.
“He’s something I’ve never seen before as far as really playing the point guard at that height and that speed and that strength…. He doesn’t mind getting into some scuffles or showing his little feisty side. That’s going to mean well for the Sixers down the line.”

Assuming Simmons joins the Nets after missing the entire season to this point, he has a chance to create a dynamic partnership with Durant moving forward.
