Kevin Durant (health and safety protocols) cannot take the floor in a game again until Saturday’s contest on the road against Golden State at the earliest with his second seven-day quarantine of the 2020-21 NBA season ending on Friday. Durant had tested negative before the fiasco on Friday against the Toronto Raptors, and the Nets forward continues to do so.
“From what I know, Kevin is on about 90 negative tests,” Steve Nash said on a Zoom call with reporters on Monday. “So, it’d be wonderful if he could join our ball club as soon as possible.”
Nash later added:
“COVID protocols, out seven days. So, there’s our load management for Kevin right there. … It’s one of those situations where we’ve had so much stop and start and we’re such a new entity — we’re trying to find a balance between trying to win games and keeping our emotional health, and at the same time not wear them out. That’s very difficult to do with the roster and everything that’s been thrown at us.

Nash also said he expects Kyrie Irving (finger) to be available Tuesday against the Detroit Pistons.
