KNOXVILLE — For the first time in 36 years, Kentucky is victorious at Neyland Stadium.
The Wildcats (2-2, 2-2 SEC) took advantage of four Tennessee turnovers en route to capturing a 34-7 victory at Neyland Stadium Saturday afternoon.
It was Kentucky’s first win in Knoxville since 1984, as the Wildcats’ notched a 34-7 victory over UT.

After a scoreless first quarter, Kentucky produced its first points when Kelton Joseph intercepted a pass from Jarrett Guarantano and returned it 41 yards for a touchdown to make the score 7-0 with 12 minutes, 47 seconds remaining in the second stanza.
A short time later, Guarantano, who also fumbled in the contest, threw another interception to Jamin Davis. He returned the interception 85 yards to the end zone.

Guarantano was briefly benched in the second quarter and J.T. Shrout entered and promptly lofted an interception.
Kentucky cashed in on the UT miscue when Matt Ruffolo kicked a 30-yard field goal to extend the Wildcats’ advantage to 17-0 with 6:18 left in the first half.
The Vols (2-2, 2-2 SEC) finally scored on a touchdown run by Ty Chandler late in the second frame.
The Big Orange, which held Kentucky to minus-3 yards on the game’s opening possession, received the ball first after halftime and went three-and-out.

Kentucky took a 24-7 lead on its first possession of the frame when Terry Wilson connected with tight end Allen Dailey Jr on a 1-yard scoring strike.
Ruffolo added another field goal to make it 27-7 with 1:02 left in the third stanza.
Kentucky’s Chris Rodriguez closed out the contest’s scoring with a touchdown run with 10:54 left in the fourth quarter.
