Kentucky tight end Jordan Dingle announces he will enter the transfer portal

Kentucky football will lose a second tight end to the transfer portal this year.

The 2024 Kentucky football season was a difficult and disappointing one in nearly every way. Now, that’s perhaps partly responsible for the exodus of several players via the transfer portal, including Dane Key and Barion Brown. Tight end Jordan Dingle is now on that list as well.

This season, the offense was abysmal, and led to the Wildcats’ worst record since 2013. Production was down across the board, and that includes the tight ends like Dingle.

Dingle came to Kentucky as a three-star prospect and a top 500 player in his class. As a Freshman, he showed great promise with 20 catches for 220 yards and 3 touchdowns. Since then, though, his production has dropped, and this season, he only had 9 receptions for 71 yards and a score.

Dingle joins Khamari Anderson as tight ends transferring from Kentucky this offseason. He’s the fifth pass catcher, joining three receivers in the portal.

This is shaping up to be one of the most interesting offseasons in recent Wildcats history. Fans will want to stay tuned for further news of the comings and goings in Lexington.
