It has been a few months since Kentucky basketball coach Mark Pope and his staff first contacted 2025 recruit Tounde Yessoufou. A few weeks ago, they scheduled a visit with him, furthering the relationship. Now, they have officially offered him a scholarship.
Yessoufou is a fast-rising forward in the 2025 class, and is currently ranked 20th overall in 247sports composite rankings. They have him as the number six power forward in the class as well.

Listed as a power forward, Yessoufou lacks the height normally required for the position, but certainly has the strength at 6’5″ and 211 lbs. His combination of power and athleticism allows him to create mismatches on offense, while making him a versatile defender.
Pope would love to add Yessoufou to the roster for 2025. He will certainly try and sell him on the Wildcats when he visits next month, and would be a huge recruiting win for Kentucky.
