Kentucky basketball offers a top ten player in the 2026 class

Kentucky basketball offers a scholarship to 2026 recruit Ikenna Alozie.

Last month, Kentucky basketball coach Mark Pope paid a visit to one of the top players in the class of 2026, Ikenna Alozie. Now, Pope has extended a scholarship offer to the talented Junior.

Kentucky Sports Radio reports that Alozie has told them that Pope and Kentucky has officially offered him. He joins players like Jason Crowe, Caleb Holt, Brandon McCoy Jr, and Tay Kinney as guards in the 2026 class that Pope has offered.

Alozie is a 6’3″, 185 lb combo guard out of Arizona, though he’s originally from Nigeria. He is currently rated five stars, and is ranked as the number ten overall player in the 2026 class by 247sports. He’s their top combo guard.

It will be some time before Alozie makes a commitment, and Kentucky remains hard at work on the 2025 class. However, Pope and his staff are getting out in front of the 2026 class as well, and continue targeting some of the top players.
