On Monday, Kentucky basketball announced an upcoming visit with 2026 power forward Miikka Muurinen. Now, there is more news on the 2026 class as coach Mark Pope as offered guard Jason Crowe Jr, as reported by Jacob Polacheck of Kentucky Sports Radio.
Crowe is a 6’2″, 165 lb guard out of California. He’s rated five stars by 247sports and ranked as the number five overall recruit in the class. He’s listed as a point guard by 247sports and a combo guard by On3.

Kentucky joins Louisville and UCLA as schools to extend offers to Crowe. The Wildcats might have an edge, with coach Jason Hart having a friendship with Crowe’s father. Time will tell if that helps them land the younger Crowe.
The 2025 recruiting class is still coming together, but it’s never too early to start making relationships with future potential recruits. Pope has now added Crowe to a growing list of 2026 targets, and contacting them early on can only help in the process.
