Kentucky basketball has contacted 2025 recruit Jamarion Bateman

Kentucky basketball is recruiting 2025 combo guard Jamarion Bateman.

Kentucky basketball and the coaching staff are adding another player to the list of targets in the 2025 recruiting class. Combo guard Jamarion Batemen has heard from the Wildcats according to Kentucky Sports Radio’s Jacob Polacheck (subscription required).

When Mark Pope and assistant Cody Fueger were at BYU, they were recruiting Bateman, and re-establishing contact now that they’re in Lexington. They’ve let him know they’re still interested.

Bateman is a 6’3″ combo guard in the 2025 class. He has a three-star rating from On3 Sports, and Rivals ranks him inside the top 150 players in the class.

Bateman told Polacheck that Fueger, in particular, had been in contact with him consistently. He also commented on Kentucky basketball, saying:

Kentucky is a blue-blood. They put guys in the NBA and they play a lot of big-time games.

Pope won’t be recruiting the same way as his predecessor did. He would like some players he can develop and keep for more than just one year. The Kentucky staff clearly likes his talent and thinks he would be a good addition to the team.
