Kentucky Baseball Heads to Karbach Round Rock Classic

The Kentucky baseball team travels to Texas this weekend for a three-game round robin style tournament.

After their thrilling comeback in their home opener against Morehead State on Tuesday, the University of Kentucky baseball team will be heading to Texas to play in the Karbach Round Rock Classic.

The Wildcats are currently ranked 23rd in the nation by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association after starting the season off 4-0. The Cats were behind to Morehead State going into the eighth inning, but then they put up seven runs to take a 9-5 lead, which ultimately was the final score.

The Wildcats will play Washington State, Kansas and Texas State in a round robin style format this weekend. They will start things off playing Washington State on Friday at 3 p.m., then will play Texas State Saturday at 5 p.m. and will finish things up by playing Kansas on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Starting pitcher Travis Smith is projected to pitch Friday against Washington State, then Dominic Niman against Texas State on Saturday and Mason Moore is projected to pitch Sunday against the Kansas Jayhawks.
