Kentucky a four seed in the East in newest Bracketology by ESPN

Kentucky moves up another spot in ESPN’s Bracketology projections after their latest win.

After a rough patch in the middle of conference play, the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team is back on the rise. They’ve won four of their last five games, including two wins over top 15 teams. With those wins, they’ve moved up in the rankings, and they have also moved up in Bracketology projections.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released a new prediction on Friday, and the Wildcats have moved up again. He now has them as a four seed in the East bracket. This is up from a five seed in the last projection.

Kentucky would meet Vermont in round one, and would likely face Washington State in the second round. It would get interesting in the Sweet Sixteen with a likely meeting with Connecticut before a rematch with North Carolina. This would be if the seeds all held of, of course. SEC foe Florida is also a potential match-up.

Kentucky plays Arkansas next, but has another battle with Tennessee upcoming, as well as the SEC Tournament. A top two seed is still possible, but the Wildcats will need to keep stringing wins together if they want to avoid those dreaded 4/13 and 4/12 match-ups.
