Aaron Rodgers was the star of many a “Mayne Event” on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown with Kenny Mayne.
So it was only fitting that the Green Bay Packers (for now?) quarterback came on Mayne’s final SportsCenter for an interview, even in the midst of the drama swirling around him and the only NFL franchise he’s called home.
It was 1-on-1 chat that covered so many different topics, but we’re focusing here on how it ended: Mayne said their last interview ended with Rodgers telling the legendary ESPNer to invest in cryptocurrency. He did.
“We’re down 40 percent,” he added, “then I lost my job, Gretchen just wants a new comforter, [expletive] you Aaron Rodgers.”
Then he walked off. Rodgers, of course, laughed, because that’s just so Kenny Mayne:
