Kennedy Meeks drops 30 in his return from injury

After being sidelined for a year, Kennedy Meeks bounces back with a 30-point performance in his return from injury.

Meeks suited up for Queen City Pro-Am over the weekend and finished with 30 points in a 91-80 win.

Meeks took to social media afterward to share his journey back to the hardwood after a year off because of an Achilles rupture. Despite the time missed, Meeks picked up where he left off, displaying a sweet jumper off his footwork.

It is always nice seeing a former Tar Heel lacing up their Js to get buckets, even better when they shine doing so.

Meeks was a key member of UNC during his tenure, playing all four years from 2013-2017. Meeks appeared in 144 games, starting 117. In Meeks’ final year, the Charlotte native cut down the nets as UNC claimed another national championship for its collection. Meeks averaged 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks that year.
