One of the bigger debates in the NBA is always who is the better center? Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid or league MVP Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.
The two of them are considered the best at their positions, but there is always that debate of who would you rather have between the two of them.
When debating Embiid and Jokic, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins explained why he would take Embiid after yet another dominant performance:
I’m going with Joel Embiid. Look me and my boy Legs had a back and forth about the Olajuwon comparison, but I’m going past that. When you talk about today in today’s game, when you talk about skill sets, zero flaws on the offensive end, it’s Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid and everyone else. It’s nothing that this man can’t do to take you on the low block, he got the one leg Dirk, side step 3-point shot, he can handle the rock, Euro step down the lane finish, And-1 through contact. I’m going with Joel Embiid. Him and Kevin Durant right now are the two most skilled players in the NBA. I’m going with Joel.
“I’m going with Joel Embiid. … It’s nothing that this man can’t do. … [Joel Embiid] and Kevin Durant are the two most skilled players in the league today.”

Embiid is one of the most dominant players in the game regardless of position and to be compared to a guy like Durant just goes to show how terrific he really has been on a nightly basis.
