The New England Patriots suffered their third close loss of the season after falling 35-29 to the Dallas Cowboys in overtime.
Bill Belichick’s team, currently standing 2-4, had positive plays and promising moments throughout the game — but, CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott were too much to handle. Prescott passed for 445 yards, which is the most under a Belichick-coached Patriots team. Lamb had nine catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns, one of which was the game-winner.
Kendrick Bourne was the only Patriots receiver with an explosive play and that was a 75-yard electrifying touchdown that gave New England the lead in the fourth quarter.
Bourne spoke with reporters after the game and relayed Belichick’s message to the team following the devastating loss.
Kendrick Bourne discussed what Bill Belichick told the team after the loss. Bourne added: “We’ve all just got to look ourselves in the mirror and see what we’ve got to do to fix this, see what we’ve got to finish better.” pic.twitter.com/iBfYpknmiu

The Patriots have the New York Jets next on the docket and it’ll be a much easier day for Mac Jones and company.
