Boston Celtics All-Star shooting guard Kemba Walker has had his minutes restriction raised to 30-32 minutes in the team’s pending contest with the Orlando Magic, according to head coach Brad Stevens in Sunday’s pregame media session.
Walker, who has been slowly ramping up his activity throughout the team’s individual and team workouts and scrimmage and seeding games, has shown little sign of the irritation that was slowing him down before the hiatus — and began to bother him again during individual workouts.
The UConn product has been dealing with knee soreness since well before he joined the Celtics this summer, having taken time off to heal and even get treatments during his tenure with the Charlotte Hornets as well.
This allows Kemba to exceed his average of 31.1 MPG.https://t.co/ZWNFiDs61v

Expressing frustration with the limits on his playing time during the first few games of Boston in the Disney-hosted restart, Walker will now be able to play longer than his season average of 31.1 minutes per game according to team reporter Taylor Snow.
We may see more of the Bronx native than his other starting teammates throughout tonight’s game against the Magic, and against the Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards as he continues to ramp up his conditioning.
