The Boston Celtics — and truth be told, much of the NBA this season — have struggled at times to stay focused in mostly-fanless arenas, battling the grind of a condensed season with little time off after the last while adhering to the strict protocols required to conduct games in a pandemic.
It had started to show up in the loss column with the Celtics in the month of February after a relatively hot start to the season that had seen Boston near the top of the standings in December and January. But the difficulties experienced by all teams in the league has dragged much of the East to within a few games of each other and a .500 record, not that this was any consolation to a battered and tired Celtics roster.
