Kelly Clarkson hosted the 2023 NFL Honors on Thursday and, as expected, gave fans a performance to remember with a roast of Tom Brady to boot.
The singer-songwriter turned television personality became the first woman to host the event and came out firing with some incredible burns in her opening monologue. Given Clarkson’s prestigious singing career, it was no surprise that she’d eventually break out into song during the event.
At first, the NFL Honors producers trolled her as George Kittle covered “My Life Would Suck Without You” with a serenade about the San Francisco 49ers season alongside Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey. Then later, Cam Jordan covered “Breakaway” with an ode to Sean Payton.
The real star of the show, however, came when Clarkson herself roasted Brady and his thirst traps with a cover of “Since U Been Gone”!

Now he just posts thirst traps.”@kellyclarkson with a Since U Been Gone tribute to @TomBrady. pic.twitter.com/M1PAWIwdrA— Jimmy Traina (@JimmyTraina) February 10, 2023
Definitely worth all the build up!
