Keldric Faulk named a preseason true freshman All-American by On3

There is plenty of hype for Faulk ahead of his first season on the Plains.

[autotag]Keldric Faulk[/autotag] may just be a freshman but he had one of the best spring and fall camps of anyone on Auburn’s roster and is set to make an instant impact for the Tigers.

The former four-star recruit has not only made the move from jack linebacker to defensive end after filing out his 6-foot-6 frame, he now projects to be the starter there over several veterans.

It’s safe to say the hype has reached the national stage as On3’s Charles Power named him to his 2023 Preseason True Freshman All-American team. Powers scouted him as a senior at Highland Home and believes he is one of the most physically impressive freshmen along the defensive line this year.

“There’s not many players on Auburn’s roster, especially the defensive line, that look like him. … I think it’s very encouraging, given what we’re hearing about how he’s looked so far at Auburn. … I think he has the potential to be a key cog in [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag]’s first couple years.”

It will be interesting to see Auburn handles his reps as a true freshman but he is undeniably one of the top players on the roster and his growth as the season progresses will be worth watching.

Faulk will have his first chance to show he is worthy of this honor when the Tigers welcome UMass to Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 3.
