In less than a week, the Colorado Buffaloes football team has lost two receivers courtesy of the transfer portal.
The first was La’Vontae Shenault, whose tenure in Boulder was filled with more off-the-field incidents than on.
Now, second-year freshman Keith Miller III is also entering the transfer portal.
With the 2021 campaign concluding on Friday as the Buffs face Utah, two wide receivers have announced they are headed elsewhere. However, the recent emergence of freshmen Montana Lemonious-Craig, who suffered a season-ending injury, and Chase Penry will help weather this storm a little bit for Karl Dorrell’s group.
Miller didn’t play at all this season for the Buffs and only dressed for two games last year.
The 6-foot-5 wide receiver took to social media on Friday to send his thanks to the Buffs program and announce he is headed elsewhere in hopes of more opportunities.

To be fair, the Buffs offense as a whole has struggled this season and only recently has this group picked things up across the board. But, Brenden Rice looks to be the main wide receiver for the next couple of years, assuming he doesn’t transfer as well.
Miller was a three-star prospect coming out of high school and has a big frame, something teams love to have on their roster. Unfortunately for Miller and the Buffs, it didn’t work out and Buffs nation wishes the best for the future of Keith Miller in his journey elsewhere.
