Kayson Boutte is ‘locked in’ with LSU

No. 1 plans on staying home.

In this day and age of the transfer portal, nothing would shock me anymore. The LSU Tigers have seen their fair share of players enter the portal and head out of town, such as Eli Ricks and Max Johnson. There was some concern that starting wide receiver Kayshon Boutte could be the next in line.

Boutte took to Twitter to address any speculation about his future in Baton Rouge.

Having Boutte locked in with the Tigers offense will be huge, not sure if it will be Myles Brennan, Garrett Nussmeier, or Walker Howard throwing him passes but No. 1 is a huge part of the offense. Early on he was the scoring option for this team, they needed to change it up after his injury during the Kentucky game.

Boutte is heading into his third year with LSU and is likely going to be a top option in the NFL draft for the 2023 class. Over the last couple of years, we have seen Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and Terrace Marshall Jr all get selected in the top two rounds. Kayshon Boutte should be the next.
