Kawhi Leonard made history Sunday night as he became the first player to win the Kobe Bryant MVP award in the NBA All-Star.
Leonard hit eight 3-pointers, which was one shy of an All-Star Game record, and finished with 30 points for Team LeBron, which ended up winning an awesome All-Star Game, 157-156, thanks to an Elam Ending that proved to be a perfect format for this game.

The new Clippers star was friends with Kobe and shared many moments outside of the spotlight with the former Lakers legend. After the game on Sunday night, Leonard sat down with the TNT crew and told a great story about Kobe that even cracked up Kawhi.
“He said ‘I shot it 47 times.’” 😂

Now that is classic Kobe Bryant and a great story to hear on a night in which his memory was felt from start to finish.
