Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is known as an NBA legend and the league’s all-time leading scorer, but he’s also always been an articulate, thoughtful activist and later became a best-selling author. The man is never afraid to speak his mind so it was no surprise that as a columnist for The Hollywood Reporter he weighed in on the recent anti-Semitism quotes from former NBA player Stephen Jackson and NFL player DeSean Jackson, as well as comments from entertainer Ice Cube.
In his piece titled: Where is the Outrage Over Anti-Semitism in Sports and Hollywood?” , Jabbar worries about “apathy to all forms of social justice,” which he dubbed the “Apatholypse.”
