Kansas State Wildcats Season Prediction, What Will Happen
Obviously health matters for every team, but that might be extra true for Kansas State.
The starting 22 will be good-to-terrific – make it the starting 24 with the solid kickers in place – but any depth issues early on will be a big, big problem.
It’s not quite right to say injuries will be a bigger deal than it would be for most teams, but they’ll matter with the way the schedule lays out and with the make-up of this year’s team.
This was a dinged up group already in spring ball with a whole lot of key parts being held out at times just to be safe. Call that smart, or overly cautious, but good luck trying to figure out what this team is going to do and be if you’re expecting good health through the first six weeks.
On the positive side, if everyone stays healthy, this win total call might be a tad light.
Set The Kansas State Wildcats Regular Season Win Total At … 7
Kansas State should be able to get by South Dakota and Tulane, and the rivalry date against Kansas is at home. Start with those three wins, and assume three more among the 50/50 games against Missouri, Texas Tech, at TCU and at West Virginia.
Getting Oklahoma State at Texas at home helps, but the three road games against Oklahoma, Baylor, and Iowa State are all going to be problems.
It’ll be a winning season with a bowl game. Stay healthy and get off to a hot start, and it’ll be something a whole lot more.
