Kansas State at Oklahoma odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Kansas State at Oklahoma odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 14 Kansas State Wildcats (19-6, 7-5 Big-12) face the Oklahoma Sooners (12-13, 2-10) in Norman Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET (ESPNU). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Kansas State vs. Oklahoma odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

Kansas State has lost 4 of its last 6 games, the last a 69-63 setback on Saturday against Texas Tech as 2-point underdogs. The Wildcats are 3-4 since their 83-82 overtime win against in-state rival and then No. 2 Kansas on Jan. 17.

Oklahoma has lost 4 games in a row and 7 of the last 8, but the lone win was a 93-69 beatdown of now No. 1 Alabama as 5-point dogs at home. Other than that it’s been a rough season for the Sooners.

This is the 1st meeting with the rematch March 1 at Kansas State.

Kansas State at Oklahoma picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 76, Oklahoma 72

Moneyline

KANSAS STATE (-110).

The Wildcats, despite their recent slump, are still in the hunt for the Big 12 title. Oklahoma has only 2 conference wins and the Wildcats should avoid a losing streak by going to Norman and beating the Sooners.

If you want to play it a bit safer, Kansas State plus the points is alright also. But I would not play them together.

Against the spread

KANSAS STATE +1.5 (-125).

Only play this if you do not play the Wildcats on the moneyline. K-State is 7-1 ATS in its last 8 Tuesday games. Oklahoma is 0-4 ATS in its last 4 overall. If these trends continue, an outright win is a certainty. I will save the .15 of juice and wager the ML for this reason.

Over/Under

TAKE OVER 140.5 (-115).

Oklahoma is good at coming back after a bad loss. In the past 5 instances where Oklahoma lost at home by double-digits, the Sooners game has gone Over in the next one.

K-State has also gone Over the total in 6 of its last 7 road games and have also gone Over in 14 of 17 road games against a team with a winning home record.

While Oklahoma is 282nd at 67.5 points per game, this is less then the 68.2 points normally given up by the Wildcats. The Sooners, at home, will outperform their average points and Kansas State, who is averaging 76.4 points, will get this game to go Over the 140.5 total.
