The best high school football player in Kansas from last year names Nebraska one of his Top Ten teams!

A class of 2023 running back and the best high school football player in Kansas last year has announced his top ten schools, and Nebraska is in the running. Dylan Edwards, a four-star recruit out of Derby High School in Derby, Kansas, announced the ten schools that he will continue to focus on during his recruitment process. Those schools are Jackson State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. In a tweet sent out on Friday afternoon, Edwards writes.

“Through this process I was blessed enough to build great relationships with coaches, and I am forever grateful of that. These are my top 10 schools that i will focus on. I will take my 5 official visits In the months of June, and plan to commit shortly after that. “

 

Edwards has already earned multiple accolades for his on-the-field excellence. He’s been named an Under Armour All-American and was the 2021 Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year. During his award-winning junior season, Edwards ran for 2,603 yards and 40 touchdowns with 3,214 all-purpose yards. In addition, he averaged 13 yards per carry and 221 yards per game for a Derby High School team that lost in the Class 6A state championship game.
