Former Kansas Jayhawks guard Marcus Garrett will reportedly sign a two-way contract with the Miami Heat, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Garrett, who went undrafted this year, was named to the All-Big 12 second team after averaging 11 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 29 games last season. He left Kansas ranked 10th all-time in steals with 181 over his four years with the program.
The former Naismith Defensive Player of the Year most recently appeared with the Heat in the Las Vegas Summer League. He averaged 7.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals on 65.4% shooting from the field in three games with the Heat.

Garrett will split his time between the Heat and the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA G League. He will have the opportunity to develop with the Skyforce while gaining NBA experience throughout the season with the parent club.
Players this season signed to two-way contracts are eligible to spend no more than 50 games in the NBA. They will earn a flat salary equal to 50% of the minimum salary applicable to a player with zero years of service.
