Kansas City Royals at Toronto Blue Jays odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Kansas City Royals at Toronto Blue Jays odds and lines, with MLB expert picks and predictions.

The Kansas City Royals (36-53) continue their series against the Toronto Blue Jays (47-43) Friday in the 2nd of a 4-game set at Rogers Centre. First pitch is set for 7:07 p.m ET. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Royals vs. Blue Jays odds with MLB picks and predictions.

Season series: The series is tied 2-2.

The Royals took Thursday’s game 3-1 as KC pitchers scattered 7 hits and limited the damage. Toronto DH Alejandro Kirk had 2 hits, but the 1, 2 and 4 hitters flanking him went hitless. The Jays have now lost 7 of 10 as their season may be hitting the brink with a couple of games left before the All-Star break.

The Royals are going in a different direction, winners of 7 of 10, after losing 7 of the previous 10. In the latest 7 wins, the opposition scored more than 3 runs just once. So their pitching has been a lot better. They are without 10 players for this series because of Canada’s vaccine mandate, though. OF Andrew Benintendi, C MJ Melendez, 1B Hunter Dozier, RHP Brad Keller, RHP Brady Singer, OF Michael A. Taylor and OF Kyle Isbel are among them.

Royals at Blue Jays picks and predictions

Prediction

Blue Jays 4, Royals 3

Money line

I’d have reluctance of placing a -370 wager on Toronto against anyone, let alone a team that just beat them. That said, KC is heavily undermanned with the players on the restricted list. PASS and look to the spread.

Run line/Against the spread

I’m going to jump at the chance for KC to not lose by 3. They’re 7-3 the last 10, and Toronto has been a dumpster fire all season, which cost its manager his job. Give me ROYALS +2.5 (-115) for TWO UNITS.

Over/Under

The Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Toronto. However, the Over is 5-0 in Greinke’s last 5 road starts. He hasn’t been very good on the road, but he could be pitching to enhance his trade value right now. He’ll pitch well enough to keep KC in it. It’s a low total, though so go UNDER 7.5 (+105) for a HALF UNIT.
