Kansas at Oklahoma State: Three things to know
- The Cowboys have struggled in Big 12 play after having gone 6-0 in non-conference play. OSU’s losses in conference play have come in close games. Two of those close losses (77-76 to TCU Dec. 16 and 87-84 to West Virginia Jan. 4) were at home. Oklahoma State was streaky in home conference games last season. The Cowboys lost four in a row in Stillwater in January and then closed out the year with five straight home wins.
- One of those Big 12 home losses last season was to Kansas. The Jayhawks defeated the Cowboys 65-50 Jan. 27. Kansas has won two in a row in Stillwater, but Oklahoma State has otherwise played the tough when hosting its neighbors to the north. Since 2014, the Cowboys are 4-3 (5-2 ATS) in home games against the Jayhawks.
- Kansas has thus far shot just 48.5% (246th NCAA-I) on its 2-point attempts. The Jayhawks have made up for that with solid numbers from beyond the arc (36.9%) and at the foul line (71.3%).
