The Kansas Jayhawks (7-0) visit the Creighton Bluejays (5-3) Wednesday in Omaha. The opening tip from the CHI Health Center Arena will be at 8:30 p.m. ET (FS1). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Kansas vs. Creighton odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Kansas is the top-ranked team in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll. The No. 1 Jayhawks played twice last week, taking down the then-No. 10 Duke Blue Devils 75-72 in a Tuesday neutral-site game and then cruising past Furman 86-51 in a Saturday home tilt. Kansas — which covered the spread in both of those games — is playing its first true road game with this visit to Creighton.

The Bluejays last played Saturday when they snapped a 3-game skid with a neutral-floor triumph over Notre Dame in Las Vegas. Creighton shot 45.8% from distance and held off a second-half charge from the Irish after CU led by as many as 17 points in the first.

Against the spread

Over its last 4 games, Creighton is 0-3-1 ATS. Across its last 10 games when favored by 5 points or fewer, Kansas is 7-3 ATS.

The Jayhawks have covered in 2 high-profile neutral-site games (vs. Michigan State Nov. 12, vs. Duke), so they have at least played well away from home if not competing in true road games yet. Kansas has been playing at a high end at both ends, and gets a lot of its offense inside and on assisted buckets. The KU offense figure to travel well.

Creighton is perhaps overly reliant on the 3-ball and will find itself up against a Jayhawk five that covers the perimeter effectively. The Bluejays have also been a high-frequency turnover squad, and Kansas excels in leveraging miscues and turning them into field goals.

TAKE KANSAS -4.5 (-110).

Over/Under

These are 2 top-third fives when it comes to tempo. The last time Kansas was embroiled in a good-good, fast-fast matchup was Nov. 9 vs. North Carolina. That game had a total of 160, and the Jayhawks and Tar Heels combined for 181 points.

BET THE OVER 152.5 (-110).
