There is another Rooney who is scoring a whole lot of goals for Manchester United.
Much like his father Wayne once did for United’s senior team, Kai Rooney is frequently finding the back of the net with the club’s Under-12 side.
The younger Rooney has posted his 2021-22 stats on his Instagram story, and they were quite impressive: 56 goals and 28 assists in all competitions.
Kai, the oldest of Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s four sons, originally signed with United’s academy in December 2020, following in the footsteps of his father who is United’s all-time leading scorer with 253 goals from 559 appearances.
Rooney plays on the U-12 side with another notable son of a Manchester United legend: Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

In a few years, it could once again be the Rooney-Ronaldo show at Old Trafford.
