Kai Havertz does not ‘give a [expletive]’ about his price tag after winning the Champions League with Chelsea

“We won the [expletive] Champions League.”

Chelsea are the 2021 Champions League champions, and Kai Havertz does not have a care in the world about anything else. On Saturday, Chelsea upset Manchester City 1-0 in the final to win their first Champions League title since 2012 off the back of a goal from Havertz in the 42nd minute.

After the game, Havertz was being interviewed by a reporter on television when he was asked about his hefty price tag — £70 million ($91 million), which is the most expensive in Chelsea history — and he offered this succinct and hilarious retort in response.

“To be honest, right now I don’t give a [expletive] about that. We won the [expletive] Champions League.”

What a retort! Chelsea teammate Cesar Azpilicueta was over the moon at Havertz’s response too, as the pair celebrated their victory together.

Given that Havertz led Chelsea to victory by scoring the game-winning goal for his team, it’s clear that he’s been worth every penny since his signing.
