Kaemen Marley signed with Tennessee during the early signing period on Dec. 16, 2020.
Marley enrolled at UT in June and is listed as a defensive back on the University of Tennessee’s roster ahead of fall training camp.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound freshman debuted for the Vols during Tennessee’s first fall training camp practice on Wednesday at Haslam Field.
Marley practiced at wide receiver on Wednesday.
“That was just how he was recruited,” Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said of Marley following Wednesday’s practice. “Feel like that’s a natural starting point for him. He’s a guy that is ultra talented. We’ll find out his skill sets, where he feels comfortable as the progression goes, and how we can get him on the field the fastest.”
Marley is from Eastern Randolph High School in Ramseur, North Carolina.
During his junior season, Marley totaled 814 receiving yards, 396 rushing yards and 26 total touchdowns. He recorded three interceptions on defense.
Marley did not play during his senior season in 2020. North Carolina high school football was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
