KNOXVILLE — Kaden Martin has received a two-sport offer from Southern University.
Martin, a rising junior baseball and football standout at Knoxville Catholic High School, has been offered by the Jaguars.
He is the son of University of Tennessee wide receivers coach Tee Martin. The elder Martin was the starting quarterback on the Volunteers’ 1998 BCS national championship team.
Kaden Martin is slated to be the starting quarterback at KCHS in 2020. He helped the Irish go 7-4 in 2019 during their first year in Division II-AA.
On the baseball diamond, Martin and KCHS missed almost the entire 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a sophomore in 2019, Martin was the District 4-AAA Rookie of the year while playing center field for the Irish. He hit .252 against some of the toughest competition in Tennessee and was a Freshman All-America standout.
He also has a two-sport offer from Arkansas, a baseball offer from Georgia Tech, which he secured in late June, a baseball offer from Missouri and a baseball offer from the Diamond Vols.
