Despite being rated as a mid-round prospect by most mock drafts, former Clemson wide receiver Justyn Ross didn’t hear his name called in the 2022 NFL Draft this weekend.
Ross, who missed the entire 2020 season due to a spinal injury, will now become an undrafted free agent and will be able to choose where he lands in the NFL. Along with the spinal injury, Ross dealt with a foot injury last season that forced him to miss three games. His injury history is likely what caused every team to pass on him.
Ross finished last season with 514 yards and three touchdowns on 46 receptions. According to ESPN’s rankings, Ross was the seventh-best prospect remaining as the draft concluded, with 28 other receivers being drafted through seven rounds.
Meanwhile, two other Tigers were drafted: cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. and linebacker Baylon Spector, who went to the Vikings and Bills, respectively.
