Justin Jefferson expects to play on Saturday vs. Bengals

Jefferson expects to play which is a great sign for a currently anemic Vikings offense

After leaving Sunday afternoon’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson expects to play on Sunday afternoon. He told reporters that on Wednesday afternoon during media availability.

Jefferson was injured on a hit in the second quarter of Sunday’s game where he was hit in the back on an in-route that was thrown a little bit high. Jefferson grabbed it and was hit hard by former Vikings draft pick Marcus Epps.

After the hit, Jefferson went back to the locker room and was ruled out shortly after halftime. He was taken to the hospital out of precautionary reasons, which was to rule out internal bleeding and broken ribs. He was cleared and returned to the locker room after the game.

Jefferson also shared his experience of watching the game from the ambulance and hospital.

Having Jefferson back with Nick Mullens getting his first start in a Vikings uniform at quarterback is a big deal, and it will be the second play against his college teammates Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow (won’t play).
