Justin Fields on Bears-Packers rivalry: ‘Just know it will be back on our side very soon’

The Packers have dominated the Bears over the last decade. If Justin Fields has anything to say about it, that’s going to change. Soon.

The Chicago Bears are in the middle of their bye week, but that hasn’t stopped rookie quarterback Justin Fields from continuing to put work in during the break.

Fields has been training with former Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall in Florida, and he also appeared on the Parkins & Spiegel Show on 670 The Score on Friday, where he talked about his experience and development with the Bears so far.

Fields was asked about the Packers loss earlier this season and whether that’s factored into his motivation to get the Bears back on the right side of the rivalry.

And Bears fans are going to love Fields’ answer.

“Just know it will be back on our side very soon,” he told Parkins & Spiegel. “Sooner than later for sure.”

Fields is no stranger to big-time rivalries as he’s been a part of the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry during his time in college. He only played in one of those games, as the two rivals didn’t play in 2020, but he was on the winning side of the rivalry with the Buckeyes, who are 16-3 against the Wolverines dating back to 2000.

Now, Fields is the Michigan in this rivalry with Chicago, as the Packers are 20-3 against the Bears since 2011, with Chicago’s last win coming in 2018.

If Fields has anything to say about it, that’s going to change. Perhaps as early as Week 14 when the Bears travel to Lambeau Fields to face the Packers on Sunday Night Football.
