Just how good are Tom Brady and Peyton Manning at golf?

They’ll show off their skills on Sunday in The Match.

We obviously know the golf credentials of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson as they get set for this weekend’s 2020 edition of The Match.

But what about their respective playing partners?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and his rival, former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning have been seen around the links for many years. So how good are they? Like we’ve done in the past with Steph Curry and Tony Romo, we looked for highlights and proof about how talented they actually are to play with some big golf names.

Let’s start with the obvious: their handicaps.

Golf Digest did a deep dive into the numbers and found that Manning has a 6.4 and posted 20 scores since last May. Brady is has an 8.1 handicap, but they noted he didn’t post any scores between 2015 and 2019, which makes a lot of sense given that he was still an active NFL quarterback at that time.

Let’s get to the video highlights, and thanks to the PGA Tour, we have a package of them:

For my money, I’d take Brady’s smooth swing, but man, look at some of those shots to the green from both of them! And there’s Brady putting for an eagle! For a breakdown of their swings, I’ll go to someone with more expertise:

Woods added, via Golf Digest: “Peyton’s is a little more shut, a little more across, much shorter. But you also have to understand that Peyton’s neck is fused, so he doesn’t have the mobility he once had.”

Let’s also remember that Brady and Michael Jordan won the NBA legend’s celebrity invitational:

Woods and Manning might have an advantage having played together before:

And hey, check out this bunker shot:

The answer is: with those handicaps and highlights, I’ll go ahead and say they’re both really good at the game. Maybe Sunday’s matchup will reveal who’s the GOAT QB on the course.
