Wade Taylor, better known as “4” in Aggieland, has been doing his best to keep A&M afloat during this up-and-down season. He was recently named the Naismith Awards’ Player of the Week, so being named to the midseason team is not really a surprise.
Taylor currently is third in points per game (19.8) and third in steals per game (2.1) in SEC play, leading his team in both categories. Over the last three games, his average bumped up to 20.3 and the Aggies were 2-1 during that stretch. Texas A&M will be counting on Taylor to keep this pace for the rest of the season as they sit on the bubble of an NCAA tournament invite due to inconsistent play leading to a few close Quad 3 losses.
