The Bills did not land wide receiver Julio Jones via trade. It always seemed unlikely, however, at one point in time, Buffalo was given odds via sportsbooks to land him.

Nonetheless, he is officially not heading to the Bills. Instead, the Atlanta Falcons traded him on Sunday to a team that also still faces Buffalo in 2021.

Jones, 32, was shipped to the Tennessee Titans. According to Titans Wire, the Falcons received a second-round pick for the All-Pro receiver and a swap of late-round picks.

Previously Jones was already set to face the Bills with his former team but in Week 17 at 1 p.m. in Orchard Park.

Now Jones’ deal makes a prime-time game all the more exciting.

Jones teams up on an offense with receiver AJ Brown and running back Derrick Henry who will host the Bills on Monday Night Football in Week 6. With the firepower Jones now brings Tennessee, the game could be a battle of two top-AFC postseason contenders.
