Carrollton High School (Georgia) quarterback Julian Lewis is a five-star recruit who has been committed to the USC Trojans for over a year now. However, the Max Preps Sophomore of the Year has been coveted by many suitors, including Colorado, Auburn, Indiana and Georgia.
Despite his verbal commitment to USC, Lewis continues to explore his options. His official visits include Indiana, Auburn, and Colorado. The Buffaloes and Tigers have done enough to remain contenders in the five-team race.
With all the hoopla surrounding Lewis and his commitment to the Trojans, he spoke to former NFL tight end Adam Breneman host of “Next Up” about why he is still committed to the Cardinal and Gold.
Lewis’s delay in signing with USC is allowing speculation to continue. This also underscores the reality that a player isn’t truly committed until he signs. USC has lost a number of high-profile commitments this year. They had committed to USC in March but were out the door three months later. They never did sign. USC fans would love to have Julian Lewis sign and end the suspense surrounding his recruitment to Troy.
