Julian Edelman tells epic story of Tom Brady’s Michael Jordan moment

Julian Edelman’s story of Tom Brady’s Michael Jordan moment is a must-listen.

Nobody can tell a story quite like former New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman. The grandiose delivery, vivid descriptions and incredible clarity have turned his campfire tales legendary.

His recent story involves a Michael Jordan moment from former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Edelman was training at Brady’s home gym in Los Angeles, and he noticed Brady had the location of where the Super Bowl was that year drawn on his whiteboard.

“It’s like March, and I’m like, ‘What is that?’ He said, ‘That’s where we’re going to go play the last game.’ I go, ‘We’re going to get you to pass Joe Montana’ because of four—you know, four Super Bowls,” Edelman said on his podcast, Games With Names. “He looks at me with that golden stare, with those sizzling steel blue eyes and says, ‘I’m not going for Montana. I’m going for Jordan.'”

Brady officially passed Montana by knocking off the Atlanta Falcons and completing the most iconic comeback in NFL history at NRG Stadium in Houston at Super Bowl LI.

The Patriots overcame a 25-point deficit to nab a fifth Lombardi Trophy, and Edelman snagged one of the greatest catches in Super Bowl history to help them do it.

Brady went on to surpass Jordan in number of championships after leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory in his first year with the team in 2020.

It cemented his legacy as the greatest player in NFL history.
