The 2020 season was likely the most difficult in Julian Edelman’s career.
The 34-year-old had the lowest numbers he’s had since 2013 and he played in a career-low six games because of a knee injury. On top of the aging and lack of availability, he also had to cope with the fact that Tom Brady wasn’t at the helm. Brady was Edelman’s only quarterback before this season and they formed a lifelong friendship in New England.
Edelman capped off the season with 21 catches for 315 yards and the Patriots had a lackluster 7-9 record, while missing the playoffs for the first time since 2008. With all the adversity at hand, Edelman went to Instagram to reflect on the season.

Edelman’s future with the Patriots is unclear, but he’ll be 35 next year. He’s under contract through the 2021 season and finished off the post by saying “#KeepGoing.”
Time will tell if Edelman suits up for the Patriots again.
