Julian Edelman is the latest Patriots alum to join FOX’s NFL coverage ahead of Tom Brady

Julian Edelman is heading to FOX this fall for NFL coverage.

Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman will be joining the FOX NFL Kickoff crew this fall as an on-air analyst.

The network shared in a press release on Thursday that Edelman will be joining show host Charissa Thompson former NFL players Charles Woodson and Michael Vick and NFL insider Peter Schrager on the 10 a.m. ET broadcast that airs before FOX NFL Sunday.

Edelman is replacing former analyst Sean Payton, who returned to the NFL to coach the Denver Broncos this season.

His old Patriots teammate Tom Brady is scheduled to join FOX Sports in the booth for NFL coverage in 2024. Former New England tight end Rob Gronkowski also appeared on FOX’s NFL coverage last fall.

“Joining FOX Sports is a dream come true,” Edelman said in the release. “I grew up watching the NFL on FOX on Sundays, and now being an analyst for ‘FOX NFL Kickoff’ feels full circle. Twelve years in this league has given me insight and opinions that I’m eager to share alongside the talented FOX NFL cast and crew.”
