Jules Bernard dominates in NBA summer league game

More news from former UCLA Bruins basketball players this summer. Jules Bernard had a big game for the Washington Wizards, as they beat the Sacramento Kings last week.

Bernard scored a game-high 20 points to guide Washington 2-2 for the summer. The 24-year-old from Los Angeles is in the National Basketball Association after being undrafted following his 2018-2022 career with the Bruins.

He spent the 2022 season with the Motor City Cruise, and at the end of the 2023 season, he played for the Capital City Go-Go. As a member of the UCLA Bruins, he played in 130 games, which included 65 starts. He scored 9.2 points per game, with 12.8 per game his senior season.

Taylor Funk added 12 points, including three made shots from downtown. For the Kings, Bookie Ellis led the way with 15 points.

The NBA Summer League continues Saturday and Sunday this weekend, and then will wrap up at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Monday July 22nd.
