Juan Soto had an impressive debut and bettors who expected him to were burned anyways

Bettors wagered on Soto to have a good debut. He did, but they lost anyways.

Juan Soto got traded on Tuesday from the Washington Nationals to the San Diego Padres. You (we) got excited for his Wednesday debut and decided to make some wagers.

Except, you were a little too excited and the bets you placed were too ambitious.

You ended up being one of the many bettors at BetMGM to bet the Over on Soto’s player props. And as a result, you were burned badly.

Did he have any home runs? No.

RBIs? Nah.

Stolen bases? Doubles? Nope, and negative.

And when you add it all up, on the surface, the debut looks less than spectacular.

But in reality, Soto had one heck of a debit. He singled, scored a run in the first inning and was walked twice. Padres fans might want to get used to that.

Sorry if your night wasn’t as impressive as Soto’s.
